Gig guide

Hi Everyone I'm going to start out by saying that this is quite a tough note to write as it's been an extremely tough decision to make. I've spent the last six years going on the most incredible journey in my life following a decision to make and release my own album. This journey has introduced me to some of the most wonderful and talented people I've ever met, given me some amazing experiences and allowed me to do something that is such an integral part of me that I don't know how I would live without it - Singing. Life moves on however and recently I've been struggling to keep up the music alongside having a very demanding day job with a long journey to get there and back as well as having a new house that needs a lot of TLC and still trying to find time to see my lovely boyfriend, friends and family at least once in a blue moon. I've therefore made the extremely difficult decision to take an extended break from music in order to get things a bit more on an even keel and spend some more time with those that I love and miss doing some of the things I just haven't be able to do over the last few years. Before I disappear into the ether for a while, I wanted to say that there are two things that have kept me going over the last 6 years even when times have been tough and I've felt like giving up. They are my band - the SlyDogs; Richard Randall, Alex Netting, Aaron Welch and Rob Marriner - without whom this journey would have been far less enjoyable and whose immense talent and sense of humour bought playing music to life for me. I owe them so much and will miss them hugely. Thank you boys. And then there's you. Everyone that has said a kind word or given constructive criticism or bought an album or come to see a live show over the last few years have made it worth every moment and I cannot tell you how much it has all meant to me. Because of this, I am sure I will be back after a rest with a new focus and a renewed energy. Until then, thank you - each and every one of you for giving me so much joy in what I've done and for generally just being wonderful. I hope you all enjoy each day of your lives until I next see you. With much appreciation and love. x K x www.kamla.org.uk www.kamla.org.uk/facebook www.myspace.com/kamlamusic
